Happy Holidays from Grant!

We spent the holiday season at Grandma Ruth's farm in Washington again. Grant was so helpful around the house getting ready for two parties. He also explored the woods with Mom and Dad throughout the week.

Funny and Scarry

Grant's favorite books are by Richard Scarry and we found a DVD with animations from the same books. Grant cracks up at the characters' antics...

Halloween Street Fashion

Here's a pic from the street when we were about to go trick-or-treating in our friend's festive neighborhood.  Grant got into the spirit, said "Twick o tweet" and "Sank you" after people put candy in his bucket.  He still loves to wear his scuba belt.

Happy Halloween from Grant

For Halloween this year, Rebecca came up with a fun idea for costumes. Grant was a scuba diver and we were each sharks. Grandma Ruth did a great job sewing teeth and fins onto grey hoodies while Nick worked on the scuba gear. Grant even had a pacifier regulator.

We had a great Halloween with trick-or-treating and lots of laughs with our costumes.

Return to Railroad Park

Grant's first visit to the Railroad Park in Scottsdale was for his first Easter Egg hunt. He did not have the opportunity to ride any of the trains that day so while Grandma Ruth is in town we decided to return and let him ride each of the trains.

Pumpkin Time Again

We took Grant back to the same pumpkin farm as last year so he could walk through the fields and pick out his favorite one. We are going through all of the pictures from the day. Here are just a few.

New Playground!

Right about the time Grant got the itch for a new park, the City of Peoria opened an amazing new community recreation area with a brand new hi-tech playground. Grant is doing it old school on the swings.

Grocery Shopping with Mommy

One of Grant's favorite activities is shopping for food with Mommy. Grant selects the best fruit and likes learning about each item in the basket. He always brings his hat because it gets a smile from everyone around.

Observing Bubbles at Gymboree

Grant is a quiet observer at Gymboree. He likes to watch the bubbles and slowly sway to the music. He's reserved, but doesn't mind the kid chaos around him.

Happy Birthday 2 You! Grant's Second Birthday

Today was Grant's two-year birthday! If he keeps doubling in age like this we will be through college in no time. We had a red wagon themed birthday for Grant on Sunday and it was a blast. Friends attended and brought their kids which gave Grant a chance to hang out with other kids. Rebecca did an amazing job of sewing all of the decorations by hand and brightening the house with them before the party. We have been opening one new present each day which keeps Grant excited throughout the week.
