Grant's First Birthday

One year has quickly passed and Grant celebrated his first birthday. Friends and family joined him for a Cupcake and Cocktail Celebration. Mommy made Grant's birthday cake in the shape of a huge cupcake as well as all of the cupcakes and icing for the guests. She did such a great job, when it was time for Grant to tear a part his cake he delicately scraped off some icing leaving the rest to enjoy later. Grant received lots of fun gifts and gets to open a new one each day for a week.

Everyday Wonder

Grant's wonder at simple, everyday objects is charming and heartwarming. Watching him learn about the world is so neat.

The Children's Museum Is Awesome

There's an amazing children's museum downtown. It's three full floors of cool kid exhibits that inspire creativity, learning and fun. Grant had a wonderful time with the exhibits and watching other kids.  We loved watching him have so much fun!

A Happy, Humid 4th

It was very humid here today and Grant's hair got extra curly. We started the day at our neighborhood coffee joint and it was a tropical feeling 85 outside. Chck out how the cute curls evolved.

            

Pool Time!

                              Now that the pool (and everything else) has warmed up, Grant has been having fun in the                  
                              pool with Mommy and Daddy. He loves to kick his legs and see Daddy makes big
                              waves in the water.

Bagel Breakfast

Since Grant gets up really early and it's over 110 these days, we've been going to Paradise Bakery on the weekends. He loves people watching and today he got a bagel for the first time. The hole actually makes it easy to hold for toddlers so in addition to being multigrain goodness, it's a toy.
